Polis Partners, in association with an RP Infrastructure-led consortium, developed a business case and cost-benefit analysis to support Taronga’s vision for an expanded accommodation offering and an on-site education facility at the Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo.

Our work included:

  • investment logic mapping
  • options development
  • cost–benefit analysis
  • financial analysis, and
  • benefits realisation planning.

Our business case assessed the contribution of the proposed facilities to visitor growth, regional employment, workforce attraction and Taronga’s broader conservation and education objectives. It provided a clear, evidence-based justification for the proposed program of works and positioned Taronga to progress a sustainable expansion of Western Plains Zoo as a major regional tourism, education and conservation asset.
