Work Integrated Learning and Placements Program Uplift

The Challenge

VU’s Work Integrated Learning programs were fragmented across multiple departments, creating inconsistency, regulatory risk, and inefficiencies that impacted student experience and institutional compliance.

The Action

Polis Partners reviewed all prior work concerning the WIL and placement programs, mapped end-to-end processes across higher education and VET, and analysed legal and regulatory requirements. We developed recommendations across operating model, governance, systems and resourcing, recognising the need to preserve bespoke approaches for specific disciplines.

The Results

A detailed report and implementation plan were delivered to the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor, providing a clear pathway to improved governance, efficiency, quality and student outcomes.
