Funding sources for Netball Australia

To enable leveraging of opportunities for growth and development of netball across Australia, Polis Partners worked with Netball Australia to understand the quantum and source of government funding it receives (or is eligible to receive), as well as the longevity of funding and identification of any additional revenue sources.

Our analysis identified trends in funding and future opportunities for Netball Australia to consider including opportunities to support and leverage the hosting of the Netball World Cup 2027. We also provided advice on netball’s alignment with specific government-funded priorities such as increasing visibility of women’s sport, the role of sport in health and mental health, youth participation, Closing the Gap and First Nations initiatives, and regional community engagement.

We reported our insights and findings to Netball Australia with a proposed strategy to pursue further funding opportunities from governments, commercial and philanthropic sources.
