Naya Wa Yugali Economic and Financial Analysis for the National Aboriginal Islander Skills Development Association (NAISDA) Dance College
The Challenge
NAISDA Dance College is expanding its facilities through the Naya Wa Yugali campus—an international centre for Indigenous cultural learning, performance, and leadership. Existing infrastructure limited enrolment, program access, and engagement with Indigenous and international artists, constraining NAISDA’s ability to meet growing demand and deliver long term cultural, social, and economic benefits.
The Action
Polis Partners conducted an economic and financial evaluation to support NAISDA’s business case submission to government. The assessment included:
- Cost-benefit analysis of improved education, employment, and cultural outcomes
- Evaluation of long-term value to Indigenous students, communities, and government
- Analysis of broader social and economic benefits from expanded facilities and services
The Results
The evaluation demonstrated a net societal benefit, supporting NAISDA’s case for government investment. The findings reinforced the project’s potential to enhance employment, strengthen Indigenous cultural leadership, and establish a nationally significant hub for performing arts.
